Addressing the gathering at the second convocation of the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar School of Economics University, the Governor recalled Dr. Ambedkar's timeless message, "Educate, Organize and Agitate," and urged young people to work collectively for the development of the country.
Emphasising the importance of values in life, he stated that moral principles must never be compromised. "Along with academic knowledge, personality development is equally important. Honesty, discipline, tolerance and compassion are essential qualities that shape not only successful individuals but also responsible citizens," he said.
The Governor further highlighted that knowledge and skills must be directed towards the upliftment of weaker sections of society. He noted that Dr. Ambedkar envisioned an India where every individual has equal opportunities, and urged the youth to take the lead in realising this vision. He encouraged students to remain resilient, stating that failure is an integral part of life that strengthens character and prepares individuals for future success. He also urged them to dream big and pursue their goals with dedication and perseverance.
Referring to the significance of the institution, the Governor said that the university, named after Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar—architect of the Constitution of India, social reformer and philosopher—stands as a symbol of social justice, equality and intellectual awakening.
