Brahmotsava is the most important annual festival of ISKCON Bangalore, celebrated every year in the month of Chaitra to commemorate the divine appearance of the Deities on Hare Krishna Hill. Every evening, the utsava Deities of Sri Radha Krishnachandra were adorned in exquisite alankaras and taken in vibrant processions around the temple on different vahanas — including the Hanumad vahana, Garuda vahana, Ananta Sesha vahana and Kalpa Vriksha vahana — amidst joyous kirtans. Following the processions each evening cultural programmes were held including, classical dance, theatrical plays and devotional music. The festival reached its most celebrated peak on April 10 with the Brahma Rathotsava — the anniversary of the Deities' appearance day. Sri Radha Krishnachandra were adorned in a vishesha alankara and offered an elaborate naivedya of 108 items.
The celebrations concluded magnificently on April 12 with Theppotsava. Sri Radha Krishnachandra were carried on a Pushpa Pallaki — a palanquin adorned with fragrant, colourful flower garlands — to the temple kalyani (pond), where they embarked on a serene boat ride as the surroundings glowed with festive lights and resounded with ecstatic kirtans.
Spiritual leaders and distinguished guests added to the grandeur of the event. His Holiness Sri Sugunendra Teertha Swamiji, the 30th Pithadhipathi of Puthige Mutt, Sri Vidyavallabha Teertha, the 30th Peetadhipathi of Shree Kaniyoor Matha, Vidwan Sri Brahmanyachar and Vidwan Sri Satyanarayana Acharya, Principal of Poornaprajna Vidyapeetha, Bengaluru graced the occasion and offered spiritual guidance to the devotees through their discourses.
Sri Madhu Pandit Dasa, President of ISKCON Bangalore, said, "The 29th Brahmotsava of Sri Radha Krishnachandra fills our hearts with immense joy and gratitude. We are truly fortunate that Their Lordships have been accepting our humble services for 29 years on Hare Krishna Hill. It gives us great joy to see lakhs of devotees — families, children and youth — coming together in devotion and carrying these memories for a lifetime. Festivals like Brahmotsava strengthen the bonds of faith and give people an opportunity to serve Lord Krishna together. We are also deeply glad that devotees from around the world participated virtually through our live streams each day. We pray to Sri Radha Krishnachandra to bless everyone with good health, peace and devotion."
