On the occasion, the Governor applied tilak on the girls foreheads and performed the rituals with due reverence. She shared a special meal with the children, mingled with them like a child herself and engaged them in cheerful conversations, creating an atmosphere of joy and togetherness. She also gifted them school bags, books and other stationery items and blessed the children for their bright future.
Through this special celebration of Kanya Pujan (Kanjak) with children during the auspicious occasion of Navaratri, the Governor conveyed a message of love, compassion and care for children reaffirming the importance of supporting their education and bright future.
The Chief Engineer and Assistant Executive Engineer of the Karnataka Slum Development Board, along with the Governor's personal staff, were present on the occasion.
