In a landmark moment for Indian education and athletics, JAIN Heritage School (JHS), in collaboration with 91 Sporting Company, officially launched the JAIN Heritage Sports School (JHSS) today. The inauguration, held at the school’s Hebbal campus, marks the debut of the first-of-its-kind integrated sports school in Hebbal, Bengaluru.
The ceremony was headlined by Dr. Venkatesh Prasad, former Indian pacer and current President of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), who served as the Chief Guest. He was joined by Dr. Chenraj Roychand, Chairman of the JAIN Group, whose vision for holistic development has anchored the JAIN Group’s 30-year educational legacy.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Venkatesh Prasad spoke about how following one's passion in sports is important, as well as pursuing academics. Dr Prasad added that institutions like JAIN Heritage Sports School (JHSS), which integrates academics with sports, present the opportunity for many to pursue their passion for sports while nurturing their athletic ambitions and gaining academic prowess. He spoke about how the facilities are brilliant and that the tie-up between JHS and 91 Sporting Company is a great initiative. He emphasised that education and athletics should complement each other, with passion always leading the way.
Dr. ChenrajRoychandsaid, “India’s future will be shaped by individuals who are disciplined, resilient, and driven by passion. Through JAIN Heritage Sports School (JHSS), we are integrating 300 hours of focused academics with nearly 1,000 hours of structured sports training each year. This model builds not just athletes but also leaders, entrepreneurs, thinkers, and champions in every field. The vision is simple—to give children the freedom to pursue excellence without compromise.”
The programme currently includes expert guidance for cricket, football, badminton, shooting, swimming, and chess. The next phase will see more sports added as part of the regular curriculum.
