Rotary Bengaluru South Samarpane Strengthens Community Healthcare Access Through Mega Initiative
Delivers multi-specialty healthcare services and awareness initiatives to over 550 beneficiaries in Bengaluru

Reinforcing its commitment to community-led impact and accessible healthcare, Rotary Bengaluru South Samarpane successfully concluded its recently held Mega Health Camp at R C College, Race Course Road, bringing together multi-specialty medical services and awareness initiatives under one unified platform.

The initiative was inaugurated in the presence of Dr. Azaj Ahmed Khan, Principal; Dr. Satish, Rotaract Coordinator; CA Lata Bhagwat, President, Rotary Bengaluru South Samarpane; and Mr. Harinath Raju, Health Chair, along with active participation from Rotaract members and volunteers.

Designed to deliver both immediate care and long-term health enablement, the camp served over 550 OPD patients, while also facilitating ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) registrations to support beneficiaries in accessing structured digital healthcare services.

The camp offered a comprehensive range of services including eye and dental check-ups, ENT and orthopedic consultations, gynecology and dermatology services, general health screenings (BP, blood sugar, height and weight), ECG diagnostics, and mammography screening, ensuring holistic and preventive care across age groups.

Extending beyond healthcare, the initiative also focused on building essential life skills among youth. Cybersecurity awareness sessions and CPR training were conducted for approximately 100 students, equipping them with practical knowledge on digital safety and emergency response.

Commenting on the initiative, CA Lata Bhagwat, President, Rotary Bengaluru South Samarpane, said: "Our focus has always been on creating meaningful, on-ground impact through initiatives that address real community needs. This health camp is not just about providing medical services, but about enabling access, awareness, and preparedness, ensuring individuals are better equipped to manage their health and well-being."

The initiative reflects Rotary Bengaluru South Samarpane's continued efforts to deliver focused, high-impact programs that combine service, scale, and sustained community value, while reinforcing its role as a proactive contributor to Bengaluru's evolving public health and awareness ecosystem.
