Under the scheme, 8.5 km length road would be covered under white topping on Tender sure model involving an investment of Rs. 85 crores in the constituency

K J George today inaugurated the construction of sturdy,long lasting white topping roads, first of its kind in the city, under the Chief Minister's Nagarothana scheme grants in Gandhinagar Assembly Constituency. 

The government had decided to ensure white topping of 29 prominent roads and six prominent junctions, a total of 93.47 km in package one and 2 to increase quality of roads and reduce congestion of traffic.

Gandhinagar MLA Shri Dinesh Gundurao, Chikpet MLA Shri R V Devaraj, Mayor Shri R Sampath Raj, Deputy Mayor Smt Padmavathi Narasimhamurthy, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike Commissioner Shri N manjunath Prasad and others were present on the occasion.
