The celebrated actor–leader welcomed the champions with warmth, generosity, and genuine admiration. He spent meaningful time listening to their journeys — the struggles they overcame, the grit that shaped them, and the pride with which they brought the World Cup home. The atmosphere was electric with inspiration, excitement, and fan-girl joy as the players met one of their most beloved stars, who also holds a key leadership role in the state.

In an extraordinary gesture, Shri Pawan Kalyan personally gifted ₹5 lakhs to each player from his personal funds. His humility, patriotism, and deep respect for the team’s achievement created a moment that will remain etched in the hearts of the players forever.

The meeting also became a significant platform for advocacy and empowerment. Deepika, India’s captain, appealed for support to improve essential infrastructure in her village — especially roads and basic amenities critical for her community. Ajay Kumar Reddy, Arjuna Awardee and former captain of the Indian Men’s Blind Cricket Team, highlighted the urgent need for equal recognition and support for men’s blind cricket players from Andhra Pradesh — including employment, financial assistance, and structured welfare measures.

Dr.Mahantesh G. Kivadasannavar, Founding Trustee of Samarthanam and Chairman of CABI, was present during the interaction. Shri PawanKalyan expressed his admiration for Dr.Mahantesh’s lifelong work in championing disability rights, empowering blind cricketers, and building Samarthanam and CABI into national pillars of inclusion. He assured his full support to Dr.Mahantesh, Samarthanam, and CABI, stating that the work being done for persons with disabilities is “nation-building in its truest form.”

In a powerful commitment, Shri PawanKalyan promised that he would personally speak with the Chief Ministers of various states, urging them to extend support to blind cricket players from their respective states — including employment opportunities, welfare assistance, and recognition for their achievements.

He also instructed his office to work directly with Samarthanam and CABI to take the players’ requests forward without delay.

A heartfelt thank you to Power Star PawanKalyanGaru for his magnanimity, patriotism, and unwavering commitment to empowering India’s athletes with disabilities. A truly proud and inspiring day for Indian Blind Cricket
