Dr. V Narayanan, Secretary, Dept of Space and Chairman, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Bengaluru, delivered the Graduation Day address in the first session. Ms. Rekha Anil, General Manager for worldwide Developer Azure Services and India CSS Leader, Microsoft India, delivered the Graduation Day address in the second session.
Dr. M.P. Shyam, Chairman of the Governing Body and President of RSST, presided over the event. Dr. A.C. Chandrashekar Raju, Vice President of RSST, Dr. Vinod Hayagriv, Vice President of RSST, Dr. (h.c.) AVS Murthy, Honorary Secretary of RSST, Sri D.P. Nagaraj, Honorary Joint Secretary of RSST, and Sri P.S. Venkatesh Babu, Honorary Treasurer of RSST, were also present. Dr. K.N. Subramanya, Principal of RVCE, and members of the Governing Body and Academic Council participated in the program.
Dr. Narayanan, while addressing the gathering, lauded RVCE's excellence in research, innovation, and industry partnerships that attract top recruiters. He congratulated the graduates, reminding them that degrees symbolize both achievement and responsibility—living with integrity, purpose, and service to society. Reflecting on India’s progress since independence, he highlighted achievements in science, agriculture, infrastructure, economy, and education, alongside milestones in defence, atomic energy, and space missions like Chandrayaan and Gaganyaan. He urged graduates to give back, pursue lifelong learning, uphold values, dream big, and innovate for nation-building.
While delivering the Graduation Day address in the second session, Smt. Rekha Anil advised the students that, 'engineering was not just about formulas and designs, but about problem-solving, creativity, and perseverance'. She shared three lessons from her professional journey. First, she advised them not to accept limits set by others but to turn doubt into determination. Second, she encouraged them to be original, build their own identity, and treat disappointments as stepping stones. Third, she emphasized that growth begins outside the comfort zone, recalling how her career across seven companies and nine domains forced her to adapt and discover new strengths. She concluded with her mantra: Invent, Reinvent to stay Relevant.”
At the 15th Graduation Day, a total of 13 Gold Medals, 13 Silver Medals, 92 rank holders, and 26 B.E. Honours were recognized. In addition, one Overall Best Outgoing Student Award, one Best Outgoing IEM Student Award, and two prestigious Boeing Awards were conferred upon B.E. graduates across both sessions. A total of 1,136 undergraduate students received their degree certificates during the ceremony. Among the most inspiring highlights was the conferment of a degree in Computer Science and Engineering to a specially-abled (partially visually impaired) student, which stood out as a moment of pride and celebration for the institution.
Principal Dr. K. N. Subramanya welcomed the distinguished guests and highlighted the achievements of the 2025 graduating batch, excelling in academics, research, innovation, and cultural pursuits. He noted RVCE’s top NIRF rankings, NBA accreditations, Centres of Excellence in AI, IoT, and Robotics, and strong placement records with median packages above ₹11 LPA. He encouraged graduates to embrace lifelong learning, resilience, and ethics, while innovating, collaborating, and communicating effectively, taking risks, remaining humble, and contributing to society, upholding RVCE’s legacy of excellence and impact.
