CMR National PU College, one of the centres for 2nd PUC Board examinations in Bengaluru, today accommodated 800 students by following all social distancing guidelines and implementing health and safety protocols. Among the largest examination centres, each examination hall accommodated a max 20-24 students depending on the space availability. Preparations began a month ago to sanitize the entire building with touchpoints starting from school gates to the desks and benches.

Ms. Angel Paul, Principal, CMR National PU College, said, "Students with face masks were allowed inside. For students who had forgotten to bring their own mask, we provided them with a mask. Students were also provided with sanitizers while our college staff wearing protective face masks and gloves assisted them and guided the students to their examination halls. A medical team was also deployed at the examination centre for any kind of emergency. Visually challenged children also appeared for the examination with the help of scribes. We are happy that we could live up to the expectations of the students and parents."

The college had conducted several rehearsals, which helped the administration in ensuring that the examinations were conducted without any hitch. Outside the examination centre also, the college had taken steps to prevent crowding. They ensured that social distancing was followed by the students and parents by barricading certain areas.
