Sri M.R. Jaishankar, Executive Chairman of Brigade Group, delivered the Graduation Day address in the first session, while Prof. Dr. Ushy Mohan Das, Chief Coach and CEO of Dr. Ushy's Wisdom Works, delivered the address in the second session.
Dr. M.P. Shyam, Chairman of the Governing Body and President of RSST, presided over both events. Dr. A.C. Chandrashekar Raju, Vice President of RSST, Dr. (h.c.) AVS Murthy, Honorary Secretary of RSST, Sri D.P. Nagaraj, Honorary Joint Secretary of RSST, Sri P.S. Venkatesh Babu, Honorary Treasurer of RSST, and Sri Nikhil A. Murthy, Assistant Secretary of RSST, were also present. Additionally, Dr. K.N. Subramanya, Principal of RVCE, Dr. K.S. Geetha, Vice Principal of RVCE, and members of the Governing Body and Academic Council participated in the programs.
Addressing the students, Sri. Jaishankar shared his experience that As graduates enter the real world, they should embrace uncertainty and uphold Curiosity, Excellence, Hard Work, and Passion in their pursuits, be it entrepreneurship, industry, research, or teaching. Reflecting on his own path from agriculture to MBA and then to real estate despite setbacks, the speaker underscores the importance of facing challenges as opportunities. Success doesn’t require fame; as Thomas Edison said, “Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.” Graduates should aim high, work hard, and value teamwork. In a world of misinformation, integrity is key. Using Rotary International’s 4-Way Test can help guide ethical decision-making and ensure responsible citizenship.
While delivering the Graduation Day address in the second session, Dr. Ushy Mohan Das feels honored to address the graduates of RV College of Engineering. Graduates should reflect on challenges, embrace messiness, and rejoice in complications. They are the authors of their own evolving stories. True success comes from authenticity, perseverance, and teamwork. The speaker concludes with Tupac Shakur's quote: “I’m not perfect. But I’ll always be real.”
At the 14th Graduation Day, a total of 12 Gold Medals, 12 Silver Medals, and 18 BE Honors were awarded to B.E. graduates across both sessions. Additionally, 1,140 undergraduate students received their degree certificates during the Graduation Day events.
