Urban Millets Pvt Ltd., a leading Bengaluru based manufacturer of millet products today announced the launch of its new brand ‘Trumillets’ that includes a wide range of healthy ready to cook products, healthy snacks, and millet Xpress, all of which offers a variety of healthy choices for all Indian consumers.

The new range of products launched under the brand ‘Trumillets’ offers millet solutions through various millet premixes ranging from Dosa and Idli mix, Upma, Pongal, Kesaribath, Kheer, Murukku, Chiwda, Smoothies and Porridges which can all be prepared and served within 3 to 8 minutes. Each of these products are free from added preservatives, are 100% natural and utmost care has been taken to produce them in its state-of-the-art facility center located at Hegganahalli, Bengaluru.

India accounts for highest millets production in terms of volume across the globe. Infact, the Government of India also recently highlighted the high nutritional value in millets and how it can withstand adverse agro-climate conditions. This will also help farmers in raising their income and enhance nutrition levels. In Karnataka alone, millets have been considered a popular food due to its anti-diabetic properties that help in reducing post-prandial blood glucose levels.

Inaugurating the facility, Shri Krishna Byregowda, Former Agriculture Minister & Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly said, “Millets are less known in India. But due to its rich mineral properties such as iron, magnesium, potassium and copper they are increasingly becoming a fad. I would also like to invite people to collaborate with more farmers and engage even more consumers with a sole objective to integrate millets as a commonly consumed crop like rice.”

Also speaking at the launch, Mamatha NL, Director, Urban Millets said, “We are extremely thrilled to announce our newly launched range of millet products. We have always aimed at bringing quality and healthy food to each and every household in our country. We believe that the consumer’s need for healthy options in India is growing exponentially and our latest variants are uniquely placed to satisfy this need. We are confident that the new products will become popular choices with all our customers.”
