ACER CONSUMER DESKTOPS AT 0% INTEREST

Bangalore, India – Acer India, one of the world's top three branded PC vendors announced a 0% Finance scheme with Bajaj Alliance for its mainstream Aspire brand of consumer desktop models and select notebook models – Aspire 2920 and the elite Ferrari 1100. This exclusive scheme is designed for all Acer malls and Acer points across the country for AMJ 2008 Quarter.

The 0% financial scheme is available in two types - 6/2 scheme and 12/6 scheme respectively. The 6 /2 scheme entitles customers to pay 2 of the EMI’s in an initial down payment and the remaining outstanding EMI over a period of 4 months. The 12/6 scheme allows customers to make an initial down payment of 6 EMIs and the remainder EMIs over a phase of 6 months.

Rajendran, CMO – Chief Marketing Officer, Acer India said, “From an industry perspective the 0% Finance scheme will aid in increasing the growth of the desktop market in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. In addition it allows Acer to reach far and wide into the Indian market; making it affordable for people across the spectrum to purchase desktops. This initiative is further testimony to our commitment of breaking down barriers between people and technology, Acer has introduced this collaborative financing scheme, with Bajaj Alliance to provide the latest technology solutions at affordable costs.”

The 0% scheme is enabled by a cost sharing arrangement jointly borne by Acer (largely) and the retail partner. Acer has made the procedure for partners to claim back the margin given upfront through a simple easy to use robust online backend system.
