The centre was inaugurated by celebrated cinestar, Shivraj Kumar and ex-MLA, Mr. N.S. Narendra Babu in the presence of Dr. B.S. Bansal, CMD, RG Stone Urology & Laparoscopy Hospital and Dr L Ravindra, Chairman, Suguna Hospital.

The center is launched in partnership with Suguna Hospital as a Department in Hospital (DIH) model, whereby RG Stone Urology & Laparoscopy Hospital will conduct the specialized urology surgeries while Suguna Hospital will provide infrastructural assistance. With an initial investment of Rs. 4.5 Cr the centre have two operation theatres and a dedicated team of specialized doctors headed by a Chief Urologist. The launch was part of the first phase of expansion plan announced by the organization in the last year.
