New
Delhi, India - After taking its viewers to the top of the world with Mission Everest
and inside the Indian Air Force with Mission Udaan, the National Geographic Channel
returns with its next mission property - My Brilliant Brain. This December, Nat
Geo plans to woo its viewers by taking them inside the human mind to explore its
incredible inner workings. This compelling series promises to make viewers re-think
the abilities of the human brain as it looks at a group of remarkable people and
poses questions about the origins of genius: are these extraordinary abilities
genetic, developed or acquired by accident?
On
a planet of six billion people only a few possess a unique genius. My Brilliant
Brain reveals some of the most extraordinary aspects of the human brain. With
a rich mix of special effects photography, computer animations and neurological
experiments, the series will showcase some of the world's most phenomenal geniuses.
These are people living amongst us who have extraordinary mental abilities - were
they born with it, developed them accidentally or through learning? Premiering
in December, this fascinating week-long escapade will showcase the geniuses themselves
and the scientists who venture headfirst into the winding depths of the brain
to answer the question - how does one become a genius?
Speaking
on the initiative, Nikhil Mirchandani, Managing Director, National Geographic
Channel, South Asia said, "Our Mission properties have always showcased exceptional
content, encouraging viewers to re-assess the world they live in and expand
their thought horizons. My Brilliant Brain will take Indian television programming
to the next level with content so impressive and well-packaged that it truly suits the
evolved viewer we have today. This unique initiative will also provide our advertising
partners an ideal opportunity to reach out to their target consumer".
"My
Brilliant Brain is very special for us at Nat Geo India as it is the next big
initiative with a local connect and also strongly communicates our philosophy
of Think again. With a truly phenomenal line up including a very special film
from India, we are looking at promoting this series innovatively through extensive
on-air, on-ground and on-line activation thus giving it a 360 degree approach
for both our viewers and advertising partners", said, Rajesh Sheshadri, Senior
Vice President - Content and Communication, National Geographic Channel, India
